Carl Larry Brock, age 73, of Vestavia Hills, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2015. Larry owned and operated Brock Contracting Company, a residential construction finish and trim business for 40 years. He served his country in the US Armed Forces during the Vietnam conflict from 1966 to 1968. Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, and was an active member of Lee Haven Hunting Club. He was a member of Metropolitan Church of God where he served faithfully for 36 years. When Larry wasn't in the woods he spent much of his free time helping to provide food and clothing for those in need through the Love in Action ministry. He had a true servant's heart. Larry also had a heart for children. There wasn't a child who didn't love "Uncle" Larry. He used his master carpenter skills to build many sets for the children and adult ministry's alike. If you could imagine it, he could build it. Behind the scenes is where Larry shined the brightest. Larry's life made a difference!
