Mr. Shelton was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 20, 1933, the son of the late Roger Marion Shelton and Vera Maslany Shelton. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Civitan Club, SPEBSQSA, and Grace Lutheran Church. Mr. Shelton retired from Ford Motor Company and had served on the board of Fairfield Plantation and the school board in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Connie Shelton; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Gary Quitiquit of Highland, Michigan; Kimberly and Lloyd Shreckengost of Douglasville; Lee and Donald Miller of Traverse City, Michigan; MaryAnn and Robert Collins of Fairport, New York; grandchildren, Matthew, Travis, Jillian, Brett, Laurie, Rick, Chaselynn and Madison; four great grandchildren; brother, Roger Shelton; and sisters, Iris Piskor and Gail Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Shelton and a sister, Sandra Julian.
Funeral service will be Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Michelle Kuhlman officiating.
