OBIT-Wautoma, Dorothy Alice Bliske, 83, formerly of Wautoma, was called home Friday evening, March 31, 2000, at the Omro Care Center, where she resided for the past five years. Services were today at Trinity Lutheran church, Wautoma. The Rev Frank G Frye officiated. Burial was in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, in the Waushara Co, Deerfield Twp. Dorothy was born May 4, 1916, in Deerfield, the daughter of the late Stephen R and Edna Mae Johannes Bray. She was the oldest of 10 children. She married Albert E Bliske on Jan 15, 1937, in Wautoma, where they resided and farmed until 1962. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1977. Mrs. Bliske worked at the former Marl Lake Store before her marriage, and at Spee's Farms and Bacon Farms after retiring from farming. She enjoyed reading and nature. She loved being outside gardening and keeping up with her 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Clarence (Carol) Bliske, Nekoosa; one daughter, Diane (Ron) Fritz, Oshkosh; a daughter-in-law Nona Bliske, Nekoosa; three sisters, Marion (William) Gomoll, Wautoma; Alice (Wilbur) Daye, Wautoma; and Doris Klusmeyer, Wild Rose; two brothers, Dever (Margaret) Bray and Donald Bray, both of Wautoma; a brother-in-law, Sylvester Johannes, Wautoma; a sister-in-law, Lauraine Bray, Wautoma; many cousins; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends. (Preceded by son Bernard Bliske, brother Edwin Bray, sisters Bernice (Edmund) Woyak, Erma (Ray) Kitchen, Evelyn (Sylvester) Johannes.) She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Special thanks to Pastor Frye for his prayers and visits during the past five years. Also thanks to the many loving hands at Omro Care Center that watched over and cared for our mother. So many have known Mom in her 83 years. So many are not here today, to share in our tears. A memorial has been established. Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma was in charge of arrangements.
Yes, they are with God in Heaven above, welcoming her and sharing his love, for those loved ones gone throughout all those years, know that in Heaven there are no tears, only in God my soul will be at rest, for from him comes my hope. - Psalm 62: verse 6
