Miriam E. Abbott

Chance-Miriam Ellen Abbott, 89 of here died on Wednesday, December 16 2015 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne. Born in Fairmount on May 3, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Wilbur E. Cox and Agnes Bozman Cox. Her late husband was Charles P. Abbott, Sr. Mrs. Abbott worked with quality seafood. She attended Faith independent Church and St. Pauls United Methodist Church, both in Wenona.

She is survived by three children, Judy E. Hoffman of Fruitland, Kandie L. Pianka and her husband Bruce of Princess Anne and Edgar Allen Abbott and his wife Lori of Chance, her grandchildren, Barbara Wood, Tina Willey, Denise Abbott, Cheryl Presock, Charles P. Abbott, III, Alice Anne Webster, Kip Holland, Wayne Abrams Jr, Jason Abbott and Edgar Allen Abbott, Jr. and her daughter in law, Jeanne Abbott and several nieces and nephews. A Late son was Charles P. Abbott, Jr. A late grandson was Luke Abbott and her late brothers were Guy Parks, Jim Parks, Allen Parks and Thomas Parks.

A Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Wenona. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. The Rev. David Webster and Linwood "Sonny" Benton will officiate. Interment will be in the Church cemetery.
