Actress. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Mathis played the role of 'Liza Walton Kaslo Sentell Kendall', on the television soap opera, "Search For Tomorrow", from 1978 to 1985. Her other roles include an appearance in the television series, "Switch" in 1978, and the film, "W.W. And The Dixie DanceKings" (1975), with Burt Reynolds. A graduate of the Central High School, and the Memphis State University, she was also a successful stage actress. Her plays include, "Man Of La Mnacha", "Music Is", "A Little Night Magic", "The Magic Flute", "Camelot", "Brigadoon", "Carousel", "Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris", and as 'Scarlett O'Hara' in "Gone With The Wind." She died at age 44, after a battle with cancer.
