Joshua Boyd Murphy, age 16 of Douglasville, GA, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born January 23, 1999 in Columbus, Ohio. Josh was a student at Chapel Hill High School and played on the varsity football team. He was a member of the Atlanta Revival Center.
He is survived by his parents, Pastor Vance and Laura Murphy; sister: Jordan Canducci and her husband, Stefano; brother: Luke Murphy; sister: Lauren Murphy; grandparents: Boyd and Nancy Murphy, and Bill and Christy Gordon; great grandparents: Helton and Dorothy Smith; aunts, Sherry Sharp and her son, Julie McArthur and her husband Trey and their two children, Lisa Onofrey and her husband, Brian and their four children, Jenny Honey and her husband, Ryan and their son; uncles: Bobby Gordon and his wife, Courtney and their two children, Ryan Gordon and his wife, Katie, and a host of church family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at The Church at Chapel Hill with Pastor Vance Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
