David Eugene Emerson, Armagh formerly of Revloc. Age 90. Died Dec. 28, 2017 at the Palliative Care Unit Memorial Medical Center with family at his bedside. Born June 13, 1927 in Nanty Glo. Son of Thomas and Goldie ( Bracken ) Emerson. Preceded in death by Parents, first wife the former Janie ( Jenkins ), infant daughter Carol, Son William Boozer, daughter in law, Pamela ( Travis ), great grandson Caleb, brothers, Raymond, Steven, and Thomas. He is survived by his current wife of 24 years, Ethel ( Crusan-Ressler ), son John ( Christine ); daughter Sharon, seven grandchildren, 8 great grand children. Brother of Jack and Bill. David was a navy veteran serving in WW 2 and the Korean War. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. He loved Beagles, enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at his son Johns camp in Potter county, watching the Steelers play, watching birds and deer in his yard at his birdfeeders. Getting to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was a bright spot any day for Dave. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff on G5 and the Palliative CARE UNIT. Their exceptional care, kindness and compassion towards Dave and his entire family did not go unnoticed. Friends will be received Wednesday from 11 a.m. till time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. The Rev Charles Burd and Craig Ressler officiating. After the services those in attendance are invited to a luncheon at Oak Grove Church, Ligioner. At Dave request in lieu of flowers please make donation to the Oak Grove Church of Christ, 3742 Route 711, Ligioner, PA 15658 in Daves memory. Inurnment will be at the South Fork Cemetery.
