Susan Payne Piper of Warrenton, VA died on January 17, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 10, 1919 in Fauquier County, VA to the late William R. and Lucy L. Marshall. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Vasco Snow Payne and Milton Piper. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Warrenton, VA. She is survived by her children, Willie Hardyhill of Baltimore, MD, Vasco Snow Payne, Jr. of Washington, DC, Everett R. Payne of Augusta, GA, Silvia Jean Lawson, Sherry P. Penny both of Washington, DC and Milton W. Piper of Warrenton, VA. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10am to the time of the funeral at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Warrenton, VA on Thursday, January 24, 2013. Interment will be in Warrenton Cemetery.
