Gary W. Riley, 58, Altoona, died early Friday morning November 20, ,2015 at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1957 in Altoona, son of the late Aubert William and Bernadette A. (Musselman) Riley. He married Ruth A. Crook on July 15, 2006, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Sean P. of Altoona; a stepson, Josh Fyock of Altoona; five siblings: Karen Jones of Altoona, Elaine Wolf in Virginia, Patrick (Louisa) of Altoona, Susie (Scott) Ritchey of Duncansville and Mark (Dawn) in Maryland; and numerous other family members.
Gary was a 1976 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was employed as a foreman for the Fabco Division of Altoona Pipe & Steel Co. with 39 years of service.
Gary enjoyed fishing for pike and walleye, especially in Canada since 2009, hunting and bowling. He was a member of the Mark IV Hunting Camp in Warriors Mark. He was also a member of the Swiss Club, where he served as the bar manager and a trustee, the Bavarian Aid Society and the Buccinese Society.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 109 N. Findley St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
