Retired Air Force Master Sgt. Charles Edgar Cook passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Capitol Nursing Home in Dover, Delaware. He was 93.

Charlie was born Aug. 1, 1922 in Fisher, Illinois to the late Charles E. Cook and Goldie Hannah Cook. After the early death of his mother, he was mostly raised by his aunt, Cecile Ellen Cook.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in intel and special ops and was first in several ops/locations during World War II and after. Mr. Cook retired in 1964 after almost 22 years of service.

He then worked for Huston Fearless, where he mirrored his duties while in the Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and competitive black powder competition.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Lee Cook DeSantis, in 2013; his aunt, Cecile, in 1989 and his brother, James Robert Cook, in 1986.

He is survived by his sons, Edward Charles (Carole) Cook and Allen Ray Cook; son-in-law, Frank DeSantis; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren and his cousins, Judy Cedusky Corray, Col. Dan Cedusky, Paul Cedusky and Jaci Cedusky Nickelson.
