Lewis Morris Jr, age 82 of Huntland, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born on July 29, 1933 in Huntland to the late Lewis and Thelma Holman Morris Sr. Lewis loved watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed raising cattle and was an avid gardener. He was a member of Maxwell Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Rudy Towery and Nancy Pickett; brother, George Morris; and grandson, Jamie Prince.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Mike Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
