George M. [sic] Davis, who resides 3 miles west of Shelbyville, died Sunday night last, of typhoid fever. Mr. Davis was a brother of the clever conductor on the "old reliable," who runs our morning train. Tom and his wife came down Monday morning and went over in time to attend the funeral. He did not know until Sunday night that his brother was sick. Mr. Davis leaves a wife and four or five little children to mourn his loss. He was a quiet, industrial, good citizen, and had only to be known to be respected.
