Umatilla - Travis Odeon Willis, 85, of Umatilla, FL passed away December 13, 2015. He was born July 5, 1930 in Orlando, FL to the late Warren & Jewel (Herrington) Willis; and married his beloved Irene February 3, 1951 celebrating almost 65 years together. Extremely proud of his time in the Army, Travis dealt with radar, which led to his career in electronics, where he rose to engineering supervisor. Travis was an avid hunter, fisher and camper. He read his Bible by the campfire every day, and served as scout leader for the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts & even Girl Scouts! He built their Umatilla home with his own two hands, and Travis's home always flies the American flag.
He is predeceased by his sister, Letha Bennett and his brother, Warren 'Buddy' Willis.
Travis is survived by his bride, Irene; three sons Travis Lee (Sherry), Craig Stephen (Pamela) and William Alexander Willis (Nahid); nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Celebrate Travis's Life with us at Woodlawn F.H. in Gotha, FL. Thursday, December 17, 2015. Visitation at 1pm, Service at 2pm & Committal to follow with Honors.
