Joseph Hammons Ware, 79, was born on February 29, 1936 to the union of Thomas Ware and Unah Hammons in Dodson, LA and passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Magnolia.

He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from State Farm Insurance as a auto claims superintendent after 34 years of service and was an avid hunter, gardener and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon RossWare; son, Joseph H. Ware, Jr. of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Wendy Gilley and husband, Dwight of Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren, Hannah Ware, Mallori Ware, Seph Ware, Dr. James Gilley, Katie Gilley; brother, Charles Ware of Stevensville, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ware was preceded in death by father, Thomas Ware, mother, Unah Ware Dunn, step-father, Fay Dunn, brother, James Ware, and sister, Tommie Jean Walters.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Wares Chapel Cemetery, Emerson, AR with Bro. David Watkins officiating.
