Charles was born November 5, 1933 in Marion County, AL to the late Floyd and Myrtice Cooper Clifton. He attended Byrd and Detroit schools. Charles was a retired machine operator for NACCO. He enjoyed gardening and working outside. Charles was a US Army Veteran and a member of Shiloh North Church.
