Services for Louis H. Pilcher Sr. of 2157 S. 14th St., an employee of the mail room of the Illinois State Journal and Register, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Staab Funeral Home with Dr. William Roth officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Mr. Pilcher, 62, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital.

An employee of the Illinois State Journal and Register for 46 years, Mr. Pilcher was born in Springfield, the son of Robert and Margaret Ann Livinger [sic] Pilcher.

Mr. Pilcher was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and Mailers Local Union 105.

Surviving are his wife, Violet Marie; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Baker; Mrs. Joan Marie DeLong; Mrs. Margaret Yvonne Flynn and Mrs. Judith Kay Maklin, all of Springfield; and Mrs. Virginia Le Hensler of Covington, Ohio; three sons, Louis H. Jr. and Clarence, both of Springfield; and George Robert of Bloomington; 30 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Baker and Mrs. Margaret Crawford; and one brother, Raymond, all of Springfield.
