Mrs. Jacqueline Shirey Fields, 73, of Orangeburg, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her residence. She was the widow of the late Reverend Bishop Freddie Walter Fields, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Friday, December 18, 2015 at Edisto Indian Church of God at Givhans, 126 Praise Lane, Ridgeville, South Carolina. Interment will follow in the St. George Church of God Cemetery, Quaker Street, St. George.
Mrs. Fields was born November 9, 1942 in Columbia and was a daughter of the late Glenmore Shirey and Ethel Shirey Westbury. She was a retired registered nurse. She and her late husband founded and built St. George Church of God, Edisto Indian Church of God at Givhans, and Friendship Church of God in Rock Hill. She loved to sing, garden and cook for her family. Most of all, she was faithful to her family and to her Lord.
Surviving are: her children, Lynnita Valladorid of Rock Hill, Freddie Michael Fields of Orangeburg and Phillip Walter Fields and his wife Darlene of Orangeburg; brothers, Herod and Wade; sisters, Sandra, Ellie Mae and Carolyn; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
