Salineville- Donna J. McDonald Hogue, 84, of State Route 39, passed away late Friday night at Salem Community Hospital. Donna was born December 9, 1929 in Wellsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Otto and Hazel Zahrndt McDonald. Donna lived all her life in this area graduating in 1947 from Wellsville High School. She worked as a teacher's aide for Southern Local School District for 29 years. Donna was a member of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church, where she made baskets to raffle for fund raising for the Bethel Church youth groups. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 18 since 1948. She belonged to the Highlandtown Grange and the Wednesday Lunch Group. Donna was an active member in the Wellsville Alumni Association, and was very involved in the Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department fund raisers. Donna's favorite pastimes were shopping and spending time with her family. Donna will be sadly missed by her daughter Barbara A. Cronin of Salineville; two sons, Robert J. Hogue of Grand Rapids, MI and David (Janice) Hogue of Hubbard, Ohio; six grandchildren, Amy Wittenbach, Bambi (Robert) VanBeek, and Tim Hogue all of Grand Rapids, MI., Travis (Rachel) Cronin of East Liverpool, Ohio, Kevin Hogue and Matthew Hogue of Hubbard, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Morgan and Maddie Wittenbach, Samantha, Sawyer, and Sophia VanBeek all of Grand Rapids, MI.; one niece, Michele McDonald; one great niece, Carole Campbell, and one great nephew Dennis Zahrndt. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband James H. Hogue, whom she married on May 3, 1949; one son, Kenneth E. Hogue; son-in-law, Barry Cronin and one brother, William McDonald.
