Alex Joseph "Al" Crivelli, age 91, resident of Oakland and husband of Patsy Crivelli, departed this life Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015 at the National Healthcare Center in Somerville.

A Prayer Service for Mr. Crivelli will be at 7 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Graveside Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Calvary Cemetery in Memphis. A visitation for Mr. Crivelli will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Crivelli was born January 4, 1924 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Richard Crivelli and Rena Tartera Crivelli. He received his education at Christian Brothers High School and Junior College. He served his country in the United States Army during the World War II period from May 15, 1944 until May 6, 1946. He was married October 20, 1950 to the former Patsy Ruth Johnson and he was a former resident of Clarksdale, Mississippi before moving to Oakland in 1995.

Mr. Crivelli was a member of the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, the Knights of Columbus and was an associate member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. He was employed as a superintendent for Red Panther Products and Coahoma Chemical Company before his retirement. He was an avid gardener and received much pleasure in selling his vegetables at the Somerville Farmers Market. In earlier years, he enjoyed outdoor activities that included hunting and fishing.

Mr. Crivelli is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat Crivelli of Oakland; two daughters, Charlotte Lax (Tony) of Oakland, Donna Knowles (Medford) of Lufkin, Texas; his grandson, Jake Knowles (Terah) of Lufkin, Texas; and his great granddaughter, Katelyn Knowles.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and the Associates of Memphis.
