Joe Davis “JD” Logan, 32 of Seguin, passed away Monday. Dec. 14, 2015. JD was born Nov. 10, 1983 in Gonzales to Raymond Davis “Butch” Logan and Reba Christene Gunn Logan. JD was a member of the New Life Temple for Jesus Christ in Harwood, Texas.

He had attended schools in Gonzales before moving to Robstown and graduating with the Robstown High School Class of 2003. JD graduated from Associated Builders and Contractors School where he received his Journeyman’s Electrical license.

He had worked for Budd Electric in Corpus Christi before moving back to Gonzales, and then Seguin where he had presently been working for Master’s Electric. He married Martha Marie Ramirez on June 27, 2009 in Corpus Christi.
JD was a good man, he was seldom serious as he loved to joke around and bring smiles and laughter to everyone. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and family man. JD cherished his boys, he loved playing with his young sons whether it was rolling on the floor wrestling with them or just sitting with them with his heart full of love.

JD was all about family as mentioned earlier; he loved his wife completely, revered his mother and treasured his loving relationships with his siblings and their families. Having lost their father at an early age, the Logan family drew very close, dependent upon each other to hold the family together and support one another. JD, in a large part with his passion for family, helped his mother hold everyone together and keep everyone strong.

Joe Davis “JD” Logan is survived by his loving wife, Martha Marie Logan, adoring sons, Landon Davis Logan and Isaiah Ray Logan all of Seguin, mother and step-father, Reba Gunn Jackson and Wayne Jackson of Gonzales, maternal grandmother, Nola Gunn of Corpus Christi, sister and brother-in-law, Christi Logan Wood and Richard of McDade, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky Lawrence Logan and Karisa of Seguin, Glenn Jackson and Lisa of Nixon and numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Davis “Butch” Logan, Jr.
