She married Frederic F. LaVack on August on 8/19/1948 at the Macomb Wesleyan Parsonage. They operated their dairy farm on the Cream of the Valley Road before buying the current farm in Spragueville in May of 1957. He died on 1/13/2011.
She loved nature and animals, especially birds. She was a member of the Blue Bird Society, the Audubon Society, and enjoyed gardening and canning. She worked for the Board of Elections for many years and was a former 4-H Co-Leader.
Surviving were her daughters; Mrs. Jeffery (Susan) Narog and Judith LaVack; a son, David; three brothers, Arthur, Charles and Richard Washburn; and eight sisters, Joyce, Sarah, Ada, Mary, Anna, Leona, Nilah, and Bettie Rook; and six grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents; a son, Alton LaVack; a daughter, Mary Ritter; brothers, James and Sylvester; and sisters, JoAnne Washburn and Eleanor Solar.
