Gloria was born November 25, 1928 to parents Paul & Margery (Pollock) Tucker in Lexington, Ohio. After graduating from Madison High School, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ashland College and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of La Verne.
Gloria worked in the field of education for over 30 years, before retiring from the Mansfield City School System. Through her love of reading, she inspired children to want to be good readers!
She was an active member of the United Methodist Dove of the Desert Church in Glendale, Arizona, where she leaves behind many wonderful friends. She loved singing in the choir! However, her greatest joy was her family!
She is survived by her children; Terri (Michael) Laurel, and Trent (Leslie) Anthony, grandchildren; Michael Anthony, Oliver Anthony, Christopher Laurel and beloved dog, Marley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carroll and David Tucker.
Gloria’s family will receive friends Friday, December 18th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where her funeral service will immediately follow at 1: 00 p.m. Rev. W. Kent Joy will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
