David was born in Washington, DC to William G. Pleasant and Mildred W. Pleasant. He moved to Richmond, Virginia with his parents at a young age. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1970, and afterwards attended J. Sergeant Reynolds College taking up Business Administration. He started working at DuPont while going to school until he was drafted into the Army where he stayed for two years. Afterwards, David was employed at McGuire Veteran’s Hospital for many years.
David was a “go-getter” person who always kept you laughing with his jokes and sarcastic remarks. He never bit his tongue and only spoke the truth and said, “I tell it like it is.” Females wow..he loved them all and as his sister will say, he was a womanizer. David was a joy to be around and he will never be forgotten.
