John Fletcher Asbury died in Atlanta last Friday, aged about 75 years, and his remains were taken to Charlotte and laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery Saturday evening. Mr. Asbury was a native of this county, and a brother of Rev. Henderson Asbury, deceased. He was the youngest member of his family and in his death the last of the children of Rev. Daniel Asbury passed away. He lived in Lincolnton many years and is well remembered by the older citizens. His companion who preceded him to the spirit land was Miss Dews whom he married in Lincolnton.
