Gunnery Sgt. Aaron Franklin Kelly , 60, U.S. Marine Corps, ret., was born June 29, 1948, in Sumter, a son of the late Jesse William and Janie Wilson Kelly . Mr. Kelly died April 21, 2009, and he was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 20 years of service. He also retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the VFW and the New Turf Golf Club.
