Sharon D. Hodge, 66, of Axton, died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her home. She was born in Newland, North Carolina on October 15, 1949 to the late Benjamin Beam and Delma Thomas Beam. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Martinsville.
Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Hodge, Sr.; three sons, Jimmy D. “Bo” Hodge, Jr., Michael Wayne Hodge and Steven A. Hodge; one daughter, Melissa Dawn Clifton; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four brothers, Dwayne Beam, Jerry Beam, Ricky Beam and Ronnie Beam; three sisters, Diane Hall, Wanda Hairfield and Barbara Beam.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 14th from 6 – 8 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of her mother, 147 Patrick Henry Ave, Axton. The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Memorial Park.
