On July 17, 1965, Cliff married the former Sandra Kay Veigel who survives him. He is also survived by children, Ted (Mel) Tedrow, Theresa (Vernon) Jones and Crystal (Bob) Pennell;9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Cox, Robert (Phamey) Cox and Dallas (Mavis) Cox; sisters, Marie (Nelson) Phillippi, Mary Pettit and Alice McConnell; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Karen Walker; and many dear extended family members including in-laws and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, David, Homer, Emery, Ernest and Alvi Cox, and a great-grandson.
Cliff proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A Tuscarawas County resident for most of his life, he was employed by Alsco in Gnadenhutten for over 25 years. Cliff enjoyed fishing and golf in his spare time and especially enjoyed his golf outings with his brothers every Saturday.
In keeping with Cliff’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation or service. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, in lieu of flowers.
