Jewell B. Carter, 82, of Irvington died Thursday Dec. 10, 2015 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
She was born September 21, 1933 to the late Proctor & Mayme Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Carter; brothers Elbert, Curtis, Joseph “Jay”, Morris, James “Buddy”, George, Alton, Alvin; Sisters Mary Lee, Lena Mae, Carrie.
She is survived by her children Eugenia French, Roger (Nancy) Carter, Patsy (Carl) Basham, Jerry (Lisa) Carter, Richard (Mary Lynn) Carter, Charles (Beth) Carter; she is also survived by Virgil (Joyce) Allen, Sue Saw, Dorothy (Bob) Hundley, & Jean Gillis; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Dec. 15, 2015 at 12 Noon EST at Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
