Florence Mae Benedyk, 87, of O'Hara Township, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2015. She was born April 21, 1928, in Hesston, a daughter of the late John and Tidy Ruth Siman Stegner. Florence was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was well-known in Jeannette and Greensburg, where she cleaned homes for more than 40 years. Florence was raised on a 190-acre farm. She loved gardening, especially tomatoes, which she loved to give away to her friends. She lived in O'Hara Township for the last 15 years with her daughter, Quoetta Coyne, and grandsons, Thomas and Patrick. In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Benedyk in 2005.

In addition to her daughter and grandsons, with whom she resided, she is survived by daughters, Patty Szarama, Mary Pakalonski and Dian Lander; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation. A funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette, and interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hempfield Township. THE JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., were entrusted with arrangements.
