Naomi Rice Obituary

Naomi Rice, 88, of Clarks Summit, died Thursday afternoon in Lackawanna Health Care, Olyphant. She was the widow of Frank Nelson Rice, who died in 2006. The couple had been married 58 years.
Born in Glenburn, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Laura Gardner Kittle. Before retirement, she worked at Smart Styles in Clarks Summit as a floor manager. She was a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church and an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, two brothers, a sister, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Emory, Oscar, Herbert, James and David.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at noon from the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit. with services by the Rev. Doug Sivers, pastor. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers. memorial donations would be welcome to the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 340 Montage Mountain Road, Moosic, PA 18507.
