July 11, 1938 – December 11, 2015

Billie D. Baker, 77, of Wilson, went to be with her Lord on Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Tony Moore and Rev. Roland Harrell will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of her brother, 4605 Baywood Court, Wilson. Billie worked as a Secretary/Bookkeeper for the Wilson City/ County School System for forty-two years. She retired in 2001. She was a long time member of the Wilson First Pentecostal Holiness Church and served in numerous positions. Billie is survived by her brother, Joseph B. Baker and wife Edith of Wilson; her niece, Christie B. Edgerton and husband, Paul of Wilson; her nephew, J. Bruce Baker, Jr. and wife Ruhamah of Sims; great niece, Elizabeth Edgerton, and great-nephews, Corbin Baker, Isaac Edgerton, and Josiah Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy D. and Betsy Bass Baker.
