Frank M. Jensen, 83, of Lincoln, formerly of Virginia, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. He was born on the farm near Liberty on Aug. 3, 1932, to Lars and Clara (Broz) Jensen.

Frank graduated from Virginia High School. He worked for BNSF Railway before serving in the United States Navy from August of 1952 to July of 1956. He served on the USS Wasp in Hawaii, among other places. Frank worked on farms, for Virginia Construction and owned and operated a car body shop in Virginia. He was a member of the Danish Brotherhood and the Virginia American Legion. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his parents in the later part of their lives.

Frank is survived by his sister, Helen Carnes and husband Don of Lincoln; and nieces and nephews, Dale, Jerry, Donna, Roger, Dianne and Brian. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice, with Chaplain Sharon Schuster officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the Virginia Cemetery near Virginia. Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans, VFW or the donor’s choice. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com.
