Audrey Jean (Claypoole) Reed, 43, of Worthington peacefully ended her battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on December 9, 2015 with her loving mother and daughter by her side.

She was born September 2, 1972 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Roderick Carl and Claudia Jean (Toy) Claypoole.

Audrey graduated from Lenape Vocational Technical School in 1990 from the cosmetology department. She met her soul mate, Greg, in 1991 and two years later they welcomed their greatest joy, Victoria Mae Reed. The family was united by marriage on February 5, 2000, and then in May of 2012 they added her little puppy, Remington "Remi", who provided great love and companionship. For 10 years, she owned and operated Devine Designs by Audrey where she developed close relationships with her clients and enjoyed getting to know them just as much as styling their hair. In 2011, she joined her husband in the family business at the Worthington Hardware Store where she formed new fond friendships with their countless patrons.

Audrey attended Franklin Union Baptist Church and became a member of the family of God at an early age. She loved her church family and took an active part in its ministry at various times. She found comfort and peace from the Chaplin visits at the University of Michigan Hospital. Prayer time became a very important part of the day with her family, whether they were together or apart. Audrey's testimony had an impact on many.

She loved traveling with Greg and participating in any outdoor activity that put her in the sun. Audrey valued being a part of her community, especially working the donut stand at the Worthington Carnival. Family gatherings were treasured by her and she enjoyed playing games, girl's night out, and endless laughter. Christmas was by far her favorite holiday spent with her family, and she looked forward to beginning and ending her summers with her husband's family at their family farm. Her greatest joy was being with her daughter, Victoria, and watching her grow into a beautiful, smart, and strong young woman.

Her final months were an amazing display of power, strength, and courage guided by her faith. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Roderick and Claudia Claypoole, who raised her in a loving Christian home with her siblings. Their greatest accomplishment was knowing she walked with the Lord. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Gregory R. Reed of Worthington; daughter, Victoria Mae Reed of Worthington; brother, Louis C. Claypoole of Fawn Grove; two sisters, Darlene I. Iseman and husband, Dennis of Ford City, and Loretta S. Jack and husband, Jason of Worthington; and seven nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 and from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday December 13, 2015 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Franklin Union Baptist Church, 106 Century Hill Lane, Worthington, PA 16262, until the time of funeral services at 11 AM with the Rev. Scott A. Jones officiating.

Burial will be held in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, PA
