She was born on August 10, 1926 at her maternal grandparent’s farm home in Paw Paw, MI to Emmet J. and Nettie M. (Frisbie) Johnson. Following her mother’s early death, she was raised by her Aunt, Thelma Johnson in Chicago, IL.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Robert E. Evans on September 14, 1946 in Hebron Welsh United Presbyterian Church in Chicago. They moved to Fort Atkinson from Vandalia, IL in 1978. Her husband preceded her in death on November 9, 1987.
Eunice was active in her church, serving on many boards and committees over the years, as well as the Fort Atkinson Women’s Club, serving as President from 1986-87. She was also a member of the Paul Frank Florine Auxiliary, a life member of the Gymanfa Ganu Association and Past President of the Welsh Women’s Club of the Greater Milwaukee Area.
In addition to her husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her sons, Billy and Edward and brother, Burton Colburn.
