BOSSIER CITY, LA - A graveside service for Billy J. Wells, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Michael McGee of Church on the Rock.

Billy was born December 18, 1923 in Fort Smith, AR to Homer and Ada Ruth Wells and passed away December 9, 2015 in Bossier City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and saw action in the Pacific Theater. He was a retired maintenance supervisor from Southwestern Oil & Refining Co.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 57 years, Huberta Wells; daughter, Madalyn Wells Moore and brother, Gwynn Wells and wife, Margie.

Billy is survived by his beloved, Sylvia Barnwell; son, Billy J. Wells, Jr. and wife, Marilyn of Bossier City; grandchildren, John Wells and wife, Anna, Jessica Moore Nix and husband, David and three great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Richard Haynie, Dr. Stuart Bundrick, Dr. Albert Krause, Dr. Michael Moore, Dr. Roy Fleniken, the nurses and staff of the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home, and Regional Hospice for their excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Wounded Warriors, Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home, or to a .
