He was born November 30, 1944 to the late Lawson and Bernice Jeffcoat Kendrick.
He was a retired electrician for Consolidated Electric, a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam era, and was of the Assembly of God faith.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ed Kendrick.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sarah Higgins Kendrick of McGehee, one daughter, Teresa Kendrick Bayird and husband Johnnie of Selma; one grandson, Joshua Kendrick Bayird of Selma; one granddaughter, Jessica Bayird Rawson and husband Jacob of Selma; one brother, Jerry Don Kendrick and wife Sissy of Conowingo, Maryland; several sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service with Military Honors will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 13 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral home.
