He was owner and president of K & K Gunite Pool Builders since 1971. He was a member of St. Clare's Church and the Colonie Elks where he belonged to their golf league and dart league. He was an avid family man and loved sports. He was a former member of Mason/Tile Setters Unions.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lillian C. (Goergen) Mackey; his devoted children, Kimberly M. (Allan C. Sr.) Secor of Colonie and Kenneth W. (Amy Beth) Mackey of Colonie; his cherished grandchildren, Allan C. Secor Jr. and Cassandra M. Secor; his sister, Viola Scutt of Schoharie; his brother-in-law, William H. (Linda) Goergen Jr.; his father-in-law, Louis C. Sproesser; his nieces, Jill (Andrew) Bierman and Jennifer (Douglas) Higgins; his devoted friends, Howard and Ann Picard and family. He was also survived by several cousins. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Lillian H. (Goergen) Sproesser and his father-in-law, William H. Goergen Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Kenneth Mackey.
