Peggy James, age 78, of Tuscumbia, Alabama passed away December 09, 2015. She was a native of Colbert County, Alabama. Peggy was a member of 4th Street Church of Christ in Tuscumbia. She cherished spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren, Drei Marthaler, Ryan Marthaler, Kirsten Marthaler, Bailee Ward, Lily Ward, Nicky Harbison, Braden James, Chloe James and her pet
Burial in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Henry/ Stella Nesbitt Thompson and James D. Cooper (step-father) of Tuscumbia, Alabama; brother, Wesley Thompson of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
She is survived by husband of 56 years, Harry “Bob” S. James; daughters, Equata James “Tim Ward” of Atlanta, Georgia, Pamela James Marthaler “Terry” of Decatur , Alabama; sons, Vance James “Liz” of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Kirk James “Amber” of Madison, Alabama; brother, Don Thompson of Jasper, Alabama; sister, Judy Krieger “Bill” of St. Florian, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
