Harold served in the US Navy during WWII, having trained at Sampson Naval Base. After his discharge in 1946, he served 5 years in the Reserves, and was called back to active duty in 1950, and served in Korea until 1951.
He eventually moved back to Romulus, from Waverly, NY and began farming, which he continued until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid gardener, collector of toy tractors, and enjoyed refurbishing horse drawn farm implements.
Harold's funeral was Tuesday Jan 5, 2009 at Covert Funeral home, Ovid, NY. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo in the spring.
