Donna Paulette Cain, loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt, died peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2015, just 2 days before her 65th birthday.
Donna was born on December 8, 1950 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Wilford Albert Cain, and the late Betty Elizabeth Colvin Cain. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Angela Renee Johnson, and her brother Christopher Michael Cain.
She is survived by her 2 sons Michael Shayne Johnson of Clarksville, Tennessee and Jarrett Lane Johnson of Pensacola, her grandaughter Jessica Ann Johnson of Defuniak Springs, Florida, her grandson Darren Adney of Defuniak Spring, Florida,
her sister Tonya Ann Moody and husband, Jim Moody of Round Rock, Texas, her brother, Gary Wayne Cain of Pensacola, her daughter-in-law Kristi Johnson of Defuniak Springs, FL, her dear and devoted companion Mack Smith of Pensacola, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Donna was a sweet and loving soul and had a great sense of humor, as well as a profound love of music, animals and traveling.
She was a graduate of PJC School of Nursing. She received her BSN from UWF and was a talented and faithful nurse for almost 40 years.
She loved to sing and the sound of her voice will ring out in the memories of us all in the Choir Concerts she loved and those of her children, nieces and nephews who she taught their first songs.
She found joy in her retirement with the friends she met through her sweetheart, Mack and the blue grass community. She laughed and danced her way into their hearts even as the disease stole away her brilliant mind.
She will be always be loved and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service at 11:00 am Friday, December 11, 2015 at Faith Chapel South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL.

The gravesite contains cremated remains of Donna and her daughter, Angela Renee Johnson. The area in which the gravesite is located is surrounded by the graves of multiple family members, including Donna's grandparents Dewey and Bettie Colvin.
