Paul Page, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

He was born in Hammond, Indiana on February 9, 1923. He graduated from Hammond High School June 1940 and attended Indiana University Extension Division for two years before entering service. Paul resided in New Lenox, Illinois since 1964.

Paul served in the Navy as a crewman in Blimpron 41 of the 4th Fleet Airship Wing during World War II and following participation in the V-12 officer procurement program graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York with his Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.

During the Korean War, he served aboard the destroyer tender, Bryce Canyon and then Corry Field, N.A.S., Pensacola, before serving in the Naval Shipyard, Charleston, South Carolina as a ship superintendent.

Paul remained active in the Naval Reserve with the Seabees and various air squadrons at the Glenview Naval Air Station. He retired from the Naval Reserve as Lieutenant Commander in 1983.

He was employed first at the Whiting refinery of Standard Oil as a mechanical engineer in inspection and design and later at Amoco Chemical's Joliet plant until his retirement in 1994 as a principal staff engineer after 48 years of corporate service. He and his wife were members of Hickory Creek Community Church of Frankfort, Illinois.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Florence (Lamprecht) Page; one son, Robert Allen (Aimee) Page of Moultonborough, New Hampshire; three daughters, Karen (Cliff) Alexander of Morrisville, North Carolina; Margo Sue (Robert) Marsh of Fort Wayne Indiana; Donna White of Joliet. Proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Alexis Page; Malcolm Alexander and Kari Alexander; Katrina (Curtiss) Myers and Johnathan Marsh; Eric White, April (Habib) Ahmad, and Aaron White. Great grandfather of two great grandsons, and four great granddaughters. Preceded in death by his parents, Emerson G. and Ora (McCreary) Page, a brother, Robert Page and a sister, Mildred Inez (Art) Mahaffey, and a grandson in infancy, Nathaniel Lewis Marsh.

Visitation & Service: Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, Illinois on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
