Linda was part owner of the Vacaville Greyhound Bus Station and A-Cab Taxi Service from the mid-80’s to the early 90’s and actively campaigned in City Council for causes in which she believed. She could be a force to reckon with, especially if she felt passion for an issue.
Linda is survived by her sons Shane Colter and his partner, Gene Wyrick, of Los Angeles, and Doug Crince and his wife, Maria, of Roseburg, OR. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Lasley of Vacaville, Jordon Crince of Roseburg, OR, Jody Crince of Oroville, and Jon Crince, also of Oroville, brother Tim Landis and wife Stephanie and his children Timothy, Nick and Megan, and longtime companion and grandfather to her grandchildren, Robert Yates, and best friend, Evelyn Quintero.
Linda was a fun-loving humanist who often opened her home to anyone needing a meal or place to sleep. She kept up on all the soaps and relished American Idol, The Bachelor and The Voice. She was an avid supporter of her sons’ Little League teams and attended her grandchildren’s ball games as often as she could. She was involved, committed, determined and attentive. Her energy, contribution and inspiration will be greatly missed.
