Obituary from Kroeger Funeral Home:

A funeral Mass for Mary E. Bruck, 77, Logansport, was held at 10 a.m. Monday in All Saints Catholic Church.
She entered into the kingdom of heaven at 2:58 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2006. She passed away in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born Sept. 23, 1928, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Raymond and Hazel McCabe Penn. She was married Sept. 6, 1948, to Robert Francis Bruck, who survives.

Mrs. Bruck was retired from J.C. Penney in the Logansport Mall after many years of employment.

She was very active in All Saints parish, where she was a member of the All Saints Ladies Society and Daughters of Isabella.

She also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary was a volunteer for the Mary Dykeman Guild at Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a very active member of the Logansport Art Association.

For several years, she and her husband Bob delivered Easter dinners for the Knights of Columbus.

Mary enjoyed her sports activities. She served on the board of directors of the Logansport Women's Bowling Association and was an avid golfer in the Logansport Golf Association.

She was a big Elvis fan.

Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Marcy Bruck, Logansport; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Diane and Gayle Stout, Burlington; four brothers, William Penn and his wife, Sue, Delphi, Carl Penn and his wife, Carolyn, Clymers, Pat Penn, Burrows, and Phillip Penn and his wife, Terry, Logansport; a sister-in-law, Marge Penn, Star City; a brother-in-law, John Bruck and his wife, Jean, Logansport; five grandchildren, Allison Bruck, Indianapolis, Jenniffer Parker and her husband, Steve, Burlington, Connie Page and her husband, Bill, Kokomo, Suzanne Stout, Fishers, and PFC Scott Stout, USMC, Calif; six great-grandchildren, Logan and Kaitlyn Parker, Dawson, Maverick and Jakob Page, and Faith Stout; and a number of nieces and nephews.

One brother, Gene Penn, and one infant sister, Phyllis Penn, preceded in death.

Father Christopher Weldon will officiate at the Mass. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends could call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Kroeger Funeral Home, where a scripture service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by a Daughters of Isabella service.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church, 112 E. Market St., Logansport IN 46947.
