Chad Lockhart, age 29, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015. He was a member of Dunlap United Methodist Church and a 2005 Graduate of Sequatchie County High School. Chad was the truest of friends. He was always generous and shared with anyone who had a need. Chad was a great outdoorsman who would rather be outside than inside. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, boating, swimming, and anything else that allowed him to enjoy the outdoors. He was an avid UT football fan and he loved watching the Vol's games with friends. Chad enjoyed life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to show kindness to those around him. He will always be remembered for taking time to live and love well. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Lockhart and Carl Heard.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Laura Lockhart; sister, Heather (Caleb) Potts; nephew, Griffin Potts; maternal grandmother, Anna Ruth Heard; paternal grandmother, Dean Lockhart; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; fiancee, Krysten Howard; future step-daughter, Jacelyn Dykes.
Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday 5:00-8:00 p.m. CDT.
