Shane Ray Chambers, 47, of 2088 Shelby Highway, Blacksburg, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Newark, Ohio, he was the husband of Melissa Childers Chambers and son of the late James Ray Chambers and Betty Louise Wilson Chambers.

He was formerly employed by L & R Trucking, was a member of the VFW and APA Pool League, loved hunting, fishing and motorcycles. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Esta Memorial Baptist Church and Witcher Baptist Church in Belle, W.V.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Shana Marie Chambers and companion, Tara Chambers, of Glasgow, W.V.; two step-daughters, Carol Barker and Heather Barker, both of Blacksburg; two sisters, Deborah Jones and Catrina Chambers and companion, Rick Ellison, all of Blacksburg; a nephew, Brandon Chambers and companion, Lisa France, of Blacksburg; a great-niece, Brily Nicole Chambers and a great-nephew, Braden Lane Chambers; a grandson, Elijah Caden Millwood; a special pet, “Tiger.”

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Brackins officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Melissa Chambers, 109 Whisonant Road, Blacksburg.
