Dwayne Williams, 52, of Champaign, affectionately known by his family and friends as "Skipper," passed away at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Dwayne's earthly life began on Aug. 6, 1963 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Joe and Estella Williams. Dwayne and his family moved to Champaign in 1972 where he attended Champaign Unit 4 schools. Dwayne was a very hard worker, being employed at IGA, Centennial High School and Parkland College. Dwayne's hardworking spirit directed him into a path of wanting to start his own family, marrying Angel Marie King on Aug. 6, 1984, a union from which four beautiful children were conceived.

Dwayne leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Estella Williams; former wife, Angel King-Williams; daughters, Rachel, Candice and Latesha Williams; son, Dwayne Williams Jr; brothers, Joe IV, Columbus, Don, Joseph, Chris, Craig, Seon, Rodney and Mark Williams; sisters, Johnnie Mae Johnson, Cora, Debra Williams, Brenda Brooks and Cisillia Brown; and granchildren, Dorian, Dayton, Damien, Dylon, Savannah, Korahn, Shamarion and Myriah.

Dwayne was proceeded in death by his father, five brothers, two sisters and three nephews.
