Born in Butler on April 17, 1933, he was a son of the late Joshua and Dorothy (Graves) Draper.
He married his loving wife Frances (Muto) Draper on June 19, 1954.
Bill was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1951 and he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean War. He retired in 1976 as Captain of the Butler City Police Department and later retired from the PA Bureau of Employment Security. He was a lifetime member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Bill enjoyed golfing and bowling, and he was a former member of the Elks, the Moose, and the French and Belgium Clubs. He was an avid Civil War buff and a Pittsburgh sports fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances (Muto) Draper; son Dr. Randall Draper and his wife Valerie (Hartley) Draper of Cranberry Township; grandson Tyler Draper; and granddaughter Taylor Draper. He is also survived by a brother, Joshua Draper, of Brattleboro, VT and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, William Lee Draper, Jr. and Ronald Lee Draper; his parents; and a sister, Doris Trexler.
Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by Bantam Marine Detachment #743.
