Wife of Kenneth George Webb, Cpl US Army

Bernice Louise Webb, a resident of Macomb, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the age of 88.

She was born on February 11, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Alonzo Williams and Mable Kontowski Williams.

On August 3, 1963 in Royal Oak, Michigan, she was united in marriage to Kenneth George Webb. In five days, they would have celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary.

Prior to her marriage and devoting herself her husband and family, she was employed as a waitress at the Stouffer's Restaurant located at Eastland Shopping Mall. For more than ten years she served customers in the Victorian Room, well known to many of the local Detroit area celebrities who frequented this restaurant. She was the proud, adored, amazing wife, mother, and as time went on grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a beloved sister, aunt and loyal friend.

A 41 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton Township, she was active with the Women's League, Women's Choir, and was the church's Sunshine Lady, whose role was to send greeting cards to the sick and to the families of those who had passed away. A supporter of veteran's organizations, a fan of the Detroit Tigers, playing cards and one who liked the challenge of completing cross word puzzles, she will be remembered as an excellent cook but especially for loving to laugh and being happy. She showed her family how to enjoy life. She and Kenneth took a memorable train trip across Canada, that created much joy for them. Bernice was a loving, caring and talented person who touched many lives and brought joy to her family and friends. May the Lord Jesus Christ be greatly praised for this precious woman we had in our lives.

Her survivors included her husband, Kenneth Webb, her dear children, Diane Dimmer McGuckin, Michael (Carolina) Dimmer, Colleen (John) Schmidt, Christine (James) Leamon, and Kenneth (Dana) Webb. She was the proud grandmother of Erika, Matthew (Amy), Amanda (Chad), Jorge (Amber), Meredith (Patrick), Abigail (Jeremiah), Amelia (Kevin), Spencer, Connor, Olivia, Tayler, Madeline, Marissa and Emma. The family tree grows stronger and taller with addition of 13 great grandchildren, Lucy, Jake, Owen, Emma, Evan, Hannah, Adrianna, Lucas, Mateo, Ainsley, Aubrey, Teagan, and Landon.

She was also survived by her brothers, Warren (Sharon) Williams, David (Linda) Williams, and sister Marjorie Moore, plus nieces and nephews.

Sisters in law Eileen Munson and Dorothy (Bud) Schwartz, and her lifelong friends, Elizabeth Gills and Nettie DeBusk, and special friend Paula Ratzow will all miss this wonderful lady.

She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
