Rev. Franklin E. Conrad, 87, retired Assembly of God minister, died of a heart attack Tuesday [November 17, 1964] at his home, 116 West Bryan, [Sapulpa, Oklahoma].

Born Feb 1, 1876 in Indianapolis, Ind., Rev. Conrad came to Sapulpa from Bartlesville, [Oklahoma] after his retirement in 1956. He had served the Assembly of God Church in pastoral and evangelical capacity for 50 years in Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and California. He was 14 years presbyter for the church.

His Oklahoma pastorates have been in Bixby, Collinsville, Shawnee, Welty, Guthrie, Wellston, Barnsdall, Pawhuska, Fairview, Waynoka, Fairfax and Gracemont. He was a member of the South Heights Assembly of God Church here [Sapulpa].

He and his wife, Louisa who survives, would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Christmas Day this year. Others surviving are five daughters: Mrs. John Edwards of 502 South Poplar, [Sapulpa], Mrs. Hettie Thomas in Petaluma, Calif., Mrs. Willie Rogers in Amarillo, [Texas], Mrs. Mildred Meeker in Salinas, Calif., and Mrs. Nadine Wilcox in Pauls Valley, [Oklahoma]; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-children.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Albert York, Calvin Patterson, Jack Rouk, Ted Thomas, Norman Thomas, and Don Rogers.
