December 6, 2015, at Keepsake Village. Janet was born June 7, 1935, in Grammer, the daughter of William and Gladys Walker Meek. She married Norman E. Sharp July 14, 1951. Janet was a fifty-plus year member of Wilson Chapel Christian Union Church, a member of the Red Hat Society, and was involved with the Alzheimer's Association. She volunteered with the Red Cross and the Senior Center Sewing
Group and was an avid quilter, loved crafts and was a great cook and mother. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Curry officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Survivors include her sons, Roger W.(Natalie)Sharp of Nashville, Charles R.(Mark Sheidler)Sharp of Indianapolis, Doug E.(Joann)Sharp of Elizabethtown and Gregory A.(Nancy)Sharp of Dallas Center, Iowa; daughters, Donita L.(Dave)Addington of Hope, Brenda S.(John)Defler of Butlerville and Robin G.(Randy)Lapidus of Columbus; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
